RITTA BOOK presents fun-filled, attention-grabbing school visits to encourage and inspire young audiences to embrace literacy as the gateway to bright productive futures. Classroom Author Visits in addition to Sing – Rap & READ Assembly programs are school year featured highlights. RITTA BOOK visits are designed to literally bring literacy and learning to Life by using Music, Movement, Chants/Cheers, Rhythm and Rhymes with special appearances from the Dream Team Mascots of Literacy and Learning, RITTA BOOK & RODNEY.

[Support for Teachers and Parents]
Our parent-teacher literacy programs provide training, tools and support schools need to accelerate reading growth for struggling readers. Participants will learn how to use the RITTA BOOK concept in both their classrooms and households to create literacy enriched environments and best practices.

[Programs throughout the School Year]
In support of literacy/learning efforts and as a means to encourage and inspire young audiences to embrace literacy as the gateway to bright productive futures, RITTA BOOK hosts engaging interactive Sing – Rap and READ Assembly programs and Classroom Author Visits. These school year visits are designed to literally bring literacy and learning to Life by using Music, Movement, Chants/Cheers, Rhythm and Rhymes with special appearances from the Dream Team Mascots of Literacy and Learning, RITTA BOOK & RODNEY.

[Afterschool and Summer Programs]
Aimed at kindergarteners through fifth graders, our afterschool and summer “Slay the Summer Slide” literacy programs feature a curriculum built around activities supporting increased reading achievement, including guided independent reading practice, fluency-building support, and listening to storybooks and poetry read aloud.

[Extra Help for Emergent Readers]
To give young children just entering school an extra boost to their literacy growth, we conduct emergent reader enrichment activities for children in kindergarten and first grade. Our Literacy development workshops are aimed to equip young scholars with literacy-based instruction and experiences tailored to meet individual learning needs and engage with books for Fun.

RITTA BOOK programs and services are all-inclusive presentations taking place at schools, summer camps, bookstores, birthday parties, and libraries, places aimed to Feed the Need for Young Minds to R.E.A.D [Reach Every Ambition Desired!!!]


RITTA BOOK Extended Reading Enrichment Programs

[Singing and Song-Writing]
Write an original song capturing your hopes, dreams, and experiences. Students will learn how to structure songs, craft lyrics, manage melodies, rhythm/harmony, and merge words with music. Students will also learn how to copyright the songs they create in this class. In addition, students will be able to build their voices through a combination of relaxation, breathing, and vocal exercises offered in a fun, supportive, and caring environment. Lady Rose will coach students in developing his or her individual musical sound and style. The objective of this class is for students to build confidence, enjoy singing, and create at least one original song. This class accommodates beginner singers, as well as anyone looking to expand their talent.

[RITTA’S Readers Theater for the Stage]
Who wants lights, cameras, and Drama??? Well, even if your interest lies in just enjoying the “theatrical experience”, this class will introduce students to the fun of being an actor/actress and creating/writing original skits and plays for the stage!!! Instructed by Lady Rose, this program includes fun class warm-ups, improvisational games and exercises, monologues, and various scenes. Everyone starts with featured parts and interaction galore!

[The Art of Public Speaking through Poetry]
This class is a fun and exciting introduction to the world of Public Speaking! Taught by Lady Rose, this class focuses on the fundamentals of public presentational skills, eye contact, diction and eloquence, body language, vocal power, and projection through Poetry! The students will also learn about speaking “extemporaneously”, preparing and writing speeches and poems. Every student is active in this energetic and non-threatening environment designed to develop and enhance children’s writing and oratory skills.
